The Block Report DXF includes site boundaries, and contours set to Australian Height Datum, on separate layers so you can turn them on or off as needed in Revit. Because the contours in the DXF are at AHD, you can generate an accurate real world topo surface in Revit in just a couple of clicks.
FAQ's
Does this work for NSW as well as ACT?
Yes. Both the ACT Block Report and NSW Block Report export a DXF in the same format, so the Revit import process shown in this video applies to either.
Do I need any plugins to import the DXF into Revit?
No. Revit can link or import DXF files natively using Insert > Link CAD or Insert > Import CAD.
What Revit version does this video use?
The workflow shown works in Revit 2025 and Revit 2026.
